Today we watched two video clips -- one about last night's presidential debate and one on the pardoning of this year's WH turkey. :) We also identified factors that influence voting behavior, ways to increase voter turnout, and campaign elements. NO HOMEWORK! Thursday and Friday - NO SCHOOL. Happy Thanksgiving! Today in class we:

Today in class we: 1. Finished the Comparing the Three Branches Chart 2. Studied several significant Supreme Court Decisions 3. Reviewed for tomorrow's test. Friday Today in class we: 1. Completed the test over the Judicial Branch. 2. Discussed several current events (SCOTUS decision to hear health care case, Occupy Movement, Super Committee). Homework: 1. Read Chapter 17 Sections 1, 2, and Voters Handbook by Monday. Read all of Chapter 17 by Tuesday. Tuesday - NO SCHOOL
Wednesday, November 16th Today in class we: 1. Reviewed judicial activism and judicial restraint. 2. Completed a Supreme Court Role Play. 3. Discussed the significance of court composition. Homework: Test on Friday. Today in class we:
1. Reviewed the judicial branch vocabulary terms. 2. Reviewed the procedures of the Supreme Court. 3. Finished the notes on the Supreme Court. 4. Read and discussed (in groups) the article "Does the Supreme Court Abuse it's Power?" Be sure to get the article and the questions from the Monday folder. HW: Extra Credit due Wednesday. Test - Tentative - Friday. Today in class we:
