SKINNY:  Today in class we analyzed the last test AND took notes on the non-legislative powers of Congress.  If you were absent, get the notes from a friend.

3/4 BLOCK:  Today in class we completed the Chapter 3 test and started our study of Chapter 4.  If you were absent, be sure to make arrangements to make up the test. 

7/8 BLOCK:  Today in class we finished our study of Chapter 3.  The test is tomorrow.

SKINNY:  Today in class we added to the How a Bill Becomes a Law notes and reviewed the process.   There is no homework.  It is recommended that you read Chapter 7, Section 1.  

3/4 Block
:  Today in class we discussed Separation of Powers and the evolution of the three branches.  We also took notes on and discussed the Formal Amendment Process.  If you were absent, get the notes from a friend.  The homework is to identify the purposes of the ODD Amendments, due tomorrow.  The Chapter 3 Test is Monday.

7/8 Block:  Today in class we took notes on the Judicial Branch AND studied Marbury v. Madison.  See Thursday folder and Ms. Brinklow for specific materials/instructions.  The Chapter 3 Test is Monday.

3/4 Block:  Today in class we took notes on the Structure of the Constitution, the Six Principles of the Constitution, and Checks and Balances.  The homework is to read the Marbury v. Madison case study.

7/8 Block:  Today in class we took notes on the structure of the Constitution and the principles of the Constitution.  We also completed a few in-class activities.  See the Monday folder and Miss Brinklow for additional information.

The first part of the Legislative Branch Test is on TUESDAY.

3/4 BLOCK:
Today in class we completed the Constitution Scavenger Hunt.  Copies are in the Friday folder.  There is no homework. 

7/8 BLOCK:
Today in class we received Chapter 3 Learning Targets AND continued working on the Chapter 3 Vocabulary Worksheet.  The homework is to finish the Chapter 3 Vocabulary assignment before class begins on Monday.

If you were absent on TUESDAY:
1.  Complete the Article I chart.
2.  Complete the Chapter 5 questions (see Tuesday folder).  You do not have to complete #1 and #7. Due Wednesday.

If you were absent on WEDNESDAY:
Today in class we discussed the powers of Congress.  The homework is to finish the Chapter 5 questions.

If you were absent on TUESDAY:
1.  Get the notes from a friend (notes on the compromise between the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists AND the last column of the Articles of Confederation chart).
2.  Complete the Chapter 2 Review questions and Chapter 2 Timeline (see Tuesday folder).
3.  Complete the Federalist and Anti-Federalist individual assignment (see Tuesday folder).  Be sure to turn this in for a grade. 
4.  Read the Preamble on page 775 and complete the Preamble side of the 3.1 worksheet.

BLOCK:  Today in class we finished our study of the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists.  If you were absent, get the notes from a friend. The Chapter 2 Test is on Thursday.
