Today in class we took notes on the special powers of the House of Representatives, the special powers of the Senate, Legislative Oversight, and How a Bill Becomes a Law.

Today in class we completed our study of the expressed and denied powers of Congress.  We also took notes on the non-legislative powers of Congress.

Please bring 3 different colored pens, markers, highlighters, or colored pencils tomorrow.

Today in class we worked in cooperative groups to identify the expressed powers of Congress AND the powers denied to Congress.

Homework:
Read Chapter 7, section 1.  It is recommended that you also read Chapter 6, sections 1 and 2.
Please bring 3 different colored pencils, markers, pens, or highlighters to class tomorrow.

- Read Article I of the Constitution.  As you read, identify the powers of Congress and the powers denied to Congress.

Redistricting and Reapportionment homework due today!
