Today in class we finished our study of Chapter 2.  If you were absent, get the notes on the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists from a friend.  Also complete the Chapter 2: Federalist and Anti-Federalist questions (available in the Wednesday folder) and turn in for a grade. 

The Chapter 2 Test is tomorrow. 

SKINNY CLASS:

Today in class we discussed last night's homework and took notes on the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation.  We also read pages 51-52 and completed an assignment on Shays Rebellion and the Annapolis Convention.

There is no homework.

Tentative Chapter 2 Test date - Thursday, October 1st

SKINNY
Today in class we reviewed the Core Democratic Values.  The CDV Essay is due on Thursday, October 1st.

We also reviewed the Declaration of Independence, took additional notes on the Declaration of Independence (get from a friend), and added to the concept map that we started in class yesterday.

Homework: Complete questions #6 and #7 on the Chapter 2 Questions.
Tentative Test Date - Thursday, October 1st.


SKINNY CLASSES:
Today in class we discussed the characteristics of democracy.  If you were absent, be sure to get the notes from a friend. 

Homework:  Review the Core Democratic Values.  Identify the CDVs that you do not know.

Reminder:  Core Democratic Value Essays were due today!
Today in class we:
1.  Took notes on the Political Steps to Revolution and the Declaration of Independence.  If you were absent, get the notes from a friend. 
2.  Read the Declaration of Independence.  Copies of the Declaration are available in the Tuesday folder. 
3.  Answered questions about the Declaration of Independence.  If you were absent, get the questions from the Tuesday folder, answer them, and turn them in for a grade.

The homework is to read pages 48-51.

SKINNY CLASS
Reminder:  Chapter 1, Section 2 questions were due today.
Today in class we reviewed the forms of government, identified the three types of democratic government, and took notes on Chapter 2, Section 2.  If you were absent, be sure to get the notes from a friend.

Homework:  Read "Characteristics of Democracy" on pages 20-23 and take notes.

Homework:  Finish Chapter 1, Section 2 Questions #1-6 and #10.

Please expect a test (over Chapter 1) this week.

SKINNY CLASS
Today in class we reviewed the concepts of state, nation, and nation-state.  We also took notes on the Four Theories on the Origin of the state and started our study of forms of government.  If you were absent, be sure to get the notes from a friend.

Homework:  PowerSchool log in due on Monday.  Expect a test late next week.
