1. Took notes on Federalism and Policy-Making. 2. Discussed the pros and cons of federalism, including why federalism is good for democracy. 3. Read a case study about the Clean Air Act. HW: Test is FRIDAY! Make-up tests need to be completed by 11/1. Notebook checks will start this week! Today in class we completed notes and a cooperative learning project on the States Rights v. Nationalist philosophies.
Chapter 4 Test on Thursday. Today in class we:
1. Discussed the obligations of the national government to the states AND the states to the National Government. 2. Took notes on Interstate Relations and How to Admit New States. 3. Reading - Read Chapter 4, Section 3 by Tuesday. Test - Tentative on Thursday Today in class we:
- Discussed delegated, reserved, denied, and concurrent powers. - Read the Supreme Court case McCulloch v. Maryland - took notes on the Supremacy Clause 3/4 Block only - Finish the obligations of the national govt and the obligations of the states worksheet for homework. Due Monday. |
