2. Judicial Branch Test THREE BRANCHES ESSAY DUE ON WEDNESDAY! Today in class we:
- watched a video: Your Court System and You. If you were absent, get the video notes from a friend. - took notes on the Supreme Court (get from a friend). - read textbook pages 331-335. - created a flow chart that shows how a case reaches the Supreme Court, and the procedures of the case in the Supreme Court. No homework. Today in class we took notes on the selection of federal judges AND identified the responsibilities of the lower federal courts.
For Monday - Be sure the first three columns of the lower federal court chart is complete. Also be sure to read 11.3 and chapter 12. Tuesday, December 4th
Discussed Congressional term limits; Reviewed learning targets for the legislative branch. Wednesday, December 5th Legislative Branch Test Thursday, December 6th Today in class we reviewed the judicial branch learning targets, completed an individual assignment, and took introductory notes on the judicial branch. HW: Read 11.2 (and 11.3, if you'd like to move ahead). If you were absent on Friday, you missed a video (The US Congress and You). Be sure to get the notes from a friend.
On Friday/Monday, we: - Discussed Question 7 on page 136 of your binder. - Completed and discussed "Staff and Support Agencies" worksheet. - Completed and discussed the Chapter 7, sections 2, 3, and 4 questions. HW: Test on Wednesday. |
