Tuesday, February 22nd - No School (Snow Day) Wednesday, February 23rd and Thursday, February 24th - Finished our study of Federalism. Be sure to get the notes from a friend. Friday, Feb. 25th - Chapter 3 and 4 Test Today in class we discussed McCulloch v. Maryland, interstate relations, and the admission of new states. There is no homework. Test is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday.

How do the amendments to the Constitution make our government more democratic today than it was at the time of the founding? Provide at least three examples. 3. Started notes on informal changes to the Constitution. HW: Chapter 3 Quiz tomorrow. Read 4.1, 4.2, adn 4.3 Happy Valentine's Day!
Today in class we: 1. Corrected the Three Branches Chart 2. Took notes on the Amendment Process 3. Discussed the Amendment Process (Why we've never used a national convention; How it is a good example of federalism) 4. HW: 3.4 Guided Reading. Today in class we studied the powers of each of the three branches, learned how each branch has evolved since the time of the founding, and discussed conflicts that the branches have with each other.
There is no homework for the weekend. Today in class we:
