2.  Took notes on political parties, including the development of the US Two Party System and the Types of Third Parties.
3.  Homework:  Identify three obstacles of third parties AND read Chapter 16.

2.  Completed the following short writing - What is democracy?  How do the amendments to the Constitution make our government more democratic today than it was at the time of the founding?  Provide at least three examples.
3.  Started notes on informal changes to the Constitution.

Read 4.1, 4.2, adn 4.3

Today in class we studied the powers of each of the three branches, learned how each branch has evolved since the time of the founding, and discussed conflicts that the branches have with each other.
