Today in class we discussed reapportionment, redistricting, gerrymandering, Baker v. Carr, Wesberry v. Sanders, and Reynolds v. Sims. If you were absent, make sure you are confident re: LT 26 and 27. Additionally watch the video "Drawing District Lines" and get the notes (Jobs of Members of Congress) from a friend.

Get the notes from a friend (Introduction to the Legislative Branch AND Comparing the House and Senate)\ Homework: 1. Study for tomorrow's test over Chapter 4. 2. Complete the following reading assignment by Friday.

1. Be sure you are comfortable with LT14. 2. Get the notes from a friend. 3. Identify pros and cons of federalism. Identify how federalism benefits democracy. The test is THURSDAY. If you were absent today:
1. Get the notes (Evolution of Federalism) from a friend. 2. Complete the States Rights v. Nationalists assignment (in the Friday folder). 3. Read "The Clean Air Act Case Study" (in the Friday folder). Chapter 4 Test is next week (either Tuesday or Thursday) Tuesday, January 15th and Wednesday, January 16th - No school due to weather.

1. Get the following notes from a friend: Significance of McCulloch v. Maryland, Supremacy Clause, Obligations of national government, Obligations of states. 2. Read Chapter 4, Section 2. 3. Identify the Constitutional provisions for cooperation between the states. The homework is to read pages 106-107. If you were absent today:
