1. Be sure you understand LTs 20 and 21. 2. Review for tomorrow's Chapter 1 Test (35 points; 10 MC, 6 Matching, 11 Short Answer (Short Answer is worth 19 points). 3. Get a copy of the Chapter 2 Learning Targets from the Thursday folder. 4. Get the notes (English Contributions to American Government) from a friend. Homework: 1. Study for the Chapter 1 Test. 2. Binder is due tomorrow. If you were absent today:
1. Get the notes from a friend (Forms of Government, Characteristics of Democracy, and Economic Systems) 2. Be sure you can do Learning Targets 11-15. 3. Read pages 20-22. Identify and define the 4 characteristics of democracy. 4. Define: representative democracy, direct democracy, and republic. The homework is to skim Chapter 1, Section 4 and to complete the Economics System Chart. The Chapter 1 test is FRIDAY. Your three ring binder is due Friday. Today in class we:
1. Discussed last night's homework assignment. 2. Took notes on the concept of the state and the theories on the origin of the state. 3. Answered questions 1, 2, 5, and 6 on the Constitution worksheet. 4. Took notes on Forms of Government. Homework: The Chapter 1 Test is tentatively scheduled for Friday.
