1. Discussed the bureaucracy questions (buddy system, Congressional control over the bureaucracy, Presidential control over the bureaucracy). If you were absent, get the notes from a friend -- specifically, ask to see the list of how Congress controls the bureaucracy and how the President controls the bureaucracy.
2. Discussed the lower federal courts. If you were absent, ask a friend to see the notes they took during discussion (especially how the chart relates to the levels of courts).
3. Worked in groups to discuss the activist/restraint reading from Monday. Juniors -- you do not have to write out the questions for this cooperative learning assignment, but I do want you to pay close attention to the discussion on Friday.
4. Took notes on the Historical Eras of the Court. Be sure to get the notes from a friend.
