Today in class we finished our study of US Unit I. We discussed issues related to federalism and took notes on American Political Culture.

- Finished our notes on Federalism. - Completed a cooperative learning lesson on Federalism. HW: Read the Clean Air Act Case Study. In your notes: What is devolution? What causes devolution? Read Chapter 4 1 CE due at midnight on 11/4. Paper due on 11/7. Test - Wednesday/Thursday Today in class we:
1. Reviewed the following: delegated, enumerated, implied, inherent, reserved, concurrent. 2. Discussed the obligations of the national government and the obligations of the states. 3. Took notes on Interstate Relations 4. Discussed the evolution of federalism. Homework: Read Chapter 4 Do you have a thesis for your paper? Test next week (probably Wednesday/Thursday) CE due by midnight on 11/2. Paper due on 11/7. Today in class we took notes on federalism AND watched the video about Gibbons v. Ogden. The link to the video is on Moodle.
HW: CE due no later than November 2nd at midnight. Read Chapter 4. Test next week. Today in class we:
1. Discussed the differences between the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists. 2. Took notes on the compromise between the Federalists and Anti-Federalists. 3. Discussed the Motives of the Framers. 4. Completed the following in class writing: If you had been alive at the time of the Constitutional Convention, would you have been a Federalist or an Anti-Federalist? Why? 5. Received a paper assignment - Due November 7th. HW: Read Chapter 3 by tomorrow. 1 CE due on the 25th. Test on Tuesday/Wednesday OR Wednesday/Thursday. Today in class we finished our Federalist/Anti-Federalist presentations AND worked to identify the key arguments of each.
Homework: Complete the Motives of the Framers by tomorrow; Also - Please finish reading Chapter 2 by tomorrow; Read Chapter 3 by Thursday; One CE due on 10/25. Presentations
HW: 1 CE due on 10/25. Read Chapter 2 by tomorrow, and then begin reading Chapter 3. Federalist and Anti-Federalist Presentations.
