Today in class we disscussed the policy making process in the UK, as well as the political party system. We also completed the election-civil society note packet.
Homework: Read the chapter on Mexico (Kesselman) by January 5th. If you were absent today:
1. Please make arrangments to make-up the Iran/UK quiz. 2. Watch the Supreme Court video clip. 3. Complete the following questions: Kesselman: Where is policy written? What is the job of the House of Commons? What is the job of the House of Lords? What is the job of the Queen? Packet: Describe the political party system. Describe the various political parties (Labour, Conservative, Liberal Democrats) REMINDERS: 1. Extra Credit CE (USA) is due tomorrow. 2, Read the Kesselman chapter on Mexico for January 2017. Today in class we completed the UK Vocabulary Quiz and finished the notes on UK Institutions. We also watched a few minutes of Prime Minister's Questions and this clip about Parliament.

In your opinion, what are the top three events/policies that led to the democratization of the UK? Defend your answer. Please finish reading Chapter 2 by tomorrow and prepare for the vocabulary quiz on Friday. The case study quiz will be on Monday! A CE project is also due on Monday. MONDAY - SNOW DAY!
