1. Took the essay portion of the Unit I Test 2. Discussed current events (Start of the term of the SCOTUS, Presidential campaign, China). 3. Discussed the final part of the summer assignment. Homework: Start your US reading. (See September 28 post for reading assignments). 1 CE due tomorrow. 1 CE for EXTRA CREDIT due on Sunday at 11:59 pm. Unit I Test (Comparative)
Reading: Read Chapter 1 by Friday. Read 17-22 by Monday. Read the Decl. of Ind. by Tuesday. Read 22-37 by Thursday. Read 37-45 by Friday. Today in class we finished our study of Comparative Unit I.
The test is tomorrow. Today in class we:
1. Watched clips from last week's presidential debate. 2. Discussed Country Profile #5 3. Discussed the Political Economic Systems 4. Finished our notes on Comparative Chapter 4. HW: Test on Wednesday. ONE CE due on Friday. You may complete a second CE for extra credit. Today in class we continued our study of political economic systems. We discussed the concepts of trade and regulation AND worked in groups to compare the four political economic systems. We also looked at Country Profile #4 (Russia).
Reminders: The test is Tuesday. Think of a good question for Senator Levin! :) Today in class we:
1. Discussed country profile #3 (Iran). 2. Discussed the ideologies and attitudes (individual identities). 3. Started Chapter 4: Political Economies. HW: Finish regulation and trade handout, CE due tomorrow, finish reading Chapter 4, come up with a question for Senator Levin!!!!!! Test Tuesday. Today in class we:
1. Took a quiz 2. Took notes on Country Profile #2 (Mexico) 3. Took notes on the Individual Identities 4. Worked in a group to study the differences between the political attitudes and the political ideologies. Homework: 1. Read Chapter 4 by the end of the week. 2. CE due on Friday. 3. Finish defining the attitudes and ideologies. 4. Get a question for Senator Levin. 5. Tentative Test on Tuesday, September 27th. Today in class we started our notes for Chapter 3.
The homework is to start reading Chapter 4. Also, remember that the next CE project is due on Friday. The Unit I test is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, 9/27. |
