Today in class we read and discussed the reading on Sovereignty. There is no homework for the weekend. The test is on Wednesday. Today in class we watched the Court video, discussed the criticisms of international organizations, and took notes on Economic indicators.
HW - Extra Credit is due on Saturday; Test is Wednesday. Today in class we finished our research on international organizations.
Remember: EC due on Saturday. Test next week! Today in class we discussed the four political economic systems and worked to identify the responsibilities of six international organizations.
If you were absent, get the international organizations chart off of Moodle (in the Comparative Unit II section) and complete the first two columns of the chart. HW: EC CE due on Saturday. Test on Wednesday, October 3rd. NO CE due on Friday, October 5th. Today in class we discussed trade and regulation AND the four-political economic systems.
If you were absent: Compare the four political economic systems in terms of: - Level of state power - Level of regulation (how much regulation) - Who owns property - Level of public goods/social programs - Taxation - Trade - Freedom v. Equality We also completed the following short writing assignment: The four political economic models attempt to find the ideal relationship between freedom and equality. In your opinion, which of the four models has the best relationship between freedom and equality? Why? Defend your answer. Which is the worst? Why? Today in class we discussed the political attitudes and political ideologies. We also started our notes on political economies.
HW: Finish the reading for the unit. EC CE due on Saturday. Today in class we finished our study of chapter 3. We discussed the various political attitudes and political ideologies.
