Homework: Remember to skim The Articles of Confederation by Monday. Also remember that you will have a quiz on Thursday. Finally, TWO CE projects will be due on Friday. One must be a US topic and the other must be a comparative topic. Today in class we took notes/discussed:
- Constitutional Rights and Principles - The Causes of the American Revolution - The Political Steps to Revolution - The Declaration of Independence. Homework: 1 CE due tomorrow Skim the Articles of Confederation by Monday. Quiz on Thursday Today in class we discussed theories of democracy. We also completed a quick write/discussion.
Homework: - Read the Declaration of Independence and answer the questions. There are links to online resources on Moodle and on the 10/9 blog post. - 1 CE due on Friday. - Skim the Articles of Confederation by Monday. - Quiz on Wednesday. Today in class we started our study of the influences on the US Constitution. Specifically, we discussed:
- Countries of origin of the early colonists. - Reasons colonists came to the colonies. - Ideas/concepts from other countries (using the Constitutional Rights and Principles packet as a guide). Homework: 1 CE due on Friday. Read the Declaration of Independence and answer the questions. (Questions are available on Moodle.) Homework: Read Chapter 2 CE due on Friday. (ONE) Skim the Constitutional Rights and Principles packet Today in class we started our study of US Government and Politics. We looked at a diagram of the public policy making process and reviewed the structure of the US Constitution. We also took notes on the six principles of the Constitution.
HW: 1. Read Chapter 2 by Monday. 2. CE due October 12th Extra Credit - Due Monday Define iron triangle AND issue network Today in class we finished the Unit I Test and discussed the debate.
Tuesday - No class due to Michigan Math Prize test.
