Work day for Federalist/Anti-Federalist Presentations
Presentations will begin on THURSDAY!!! Today in class we discussed Federalist #10 and #51.
We also spent time preparing for presentations. Homework: Read the Anti-Federalist Address of the Penn. Minority. Begin reading Chapter 3. 2 CE due on Friday - One US and one Comp. Tentative Test - October 25th. Today in class we:
1. Completed the Articles of Confederation Chart 2. Took introductory notes on the Federalists and the Anti-Federalists. 3. Received Fed/Anti-Fed books and presentation guidelines. Happy Nerd Day!
Today in class we: 1. Watched the Homecoming Court Video :) 2. Watched and discussed a news clip from ABC News 3. Finished our notes on the Constitutional Convention Remember: 1 CE i Happy Cowboy Day!
Today in class we: 1. Defined Annapolis Convention and Shays's Rebellion 2. Watched a video about Shays's Rebellion -- If you were absent, be sure to get the notes about the video from a friend. 3. Took notes on the Constitutional Convention. HW: CE due Friday AND reading Happy Detroit Tigers Day!
Today in class we took notes on the Declaration of Independence and discussed the Declaration of Independence. We also took notes on the Articles of Confederation and identified it's weaknesses. Remember: 1 CE is due on Friday. Also, be sure to keep up on your reading. Happy PJ Day!
Today in class we: 1. Discussed the free response section of the test. 2. Finished the Constituitional Rights and Principles activity. 3. Took notes on the English contributions to American Government AND the Poltical Steps to Revolution. 4. Discussed the causes of the American Revolution The homework is to complete the Declaration of Independence Questions for tomorrow. Today in class we:
1. Discussed Iron Triangles and Issue Networks. 2. Discussed democratic theory, including majoritarian theory, elite theory, pluralism, and hyperpluralism. 3. Discussed the reasons the colonists came to America and the ideas that they brought with them (including looking for ideas in the Constitutional Rights and Principles handout). The homework is to read the Declaration of Independence by Monday. If you'd like to listen to a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence, click on the link below.
